​Your Praying Friend was created by a Christian Substance Abuse Counselor in hopes of helping others find healing through Christ and community. 
One way we carry out that mission is by sharing recovery success stories.

Let God Use You

The stories at the top of this page are real women who stepped out in faith and found freedom from the chains of addiction. They selflessly share their struggles and ultimately their success! They didn't work tirelessly to achieve sobriety just to keep it a secret. They chose to recover out loud! Their stories inspire and encourage others. They spread hope to all those who hear about their healing.

​There are many friends who have traveled the rocky roads of substance abuse and climbed uphill to reach recovery.  However, none of them did it on their own. The ladies that have shared their stories on this page all have at least two critical characteristics in common. First and most importantly they each surrendered to God. Secondly, they all sought help through counseling. ​
