Psalms 68:19

Today's Bible Verse

"Praise the Lord! Every day he helps us with the loads we must carry. He is the God who saves us. Selah." -Psalms 68:19

Reflection

Aren't you grateful that God doesn't just tell us to figure life out on our own? 
Unlike any other religion, Christians have a personal relationship with a loving and helpful Father. One who is intrinsically interested in the innermost desires of his creation. 
He is invested in us. 
​

Think of how much you love your children. 
How you would do anything to help them. 
Now reflect on the fact that God loves you that much, plus so much more!
​

When you see your child struggling do you automatically take charge to fix it right away?
Sometimes. 
Other times in your wisdom you allow them to struggle so that they are better prepared for what the future holds. 
This is also true of the Father. 
​

At times he sees us struggling and miraculously he fixes our problems, whether we are aware or many times even unaware. 
Other times he allows us to grow through what we go through. 
Out of love and wisdom he shapes us through our experiences. 
​

Just as both of these techniques are important for the development of your child, they are also important for us. 
Likewise, as you are always willing to help your child carry their burdens, God is always willing to do the same for us. 
We need only ask. 
​

Let's Pray

Dear Heavenly Father, 

We are so grateful for your guidance and direction. 
Thank you for shouldering our burdens. 
Catching our tears. 
Mending our hearts. 
Because you are a loving Father we know that we can 
trust you. 
We know that your promises are true. 
Our faith is made stronger, because during the difficult times we
have found that you are reliable. 
We are never alone. 

Help us to be obedient and faithful to your teachings. 
Correct us, convict us, create us a new. 
We thank you and praise your holy name!
