Give Thanks To The Lord

1 Chronicles 16:34

"Give thanks to the Lord for he is good! His faithful love endures forever."

Reflection

Giving thanks is a choice. We can choose to practice gratitude in all circumstances or we can choose to allow our feelings to dictate whether or not we will thank Jesus today. 
​

Maybe life isn't going your way right now. Perhaps you're facing difficulties in your marriage, your health is failing, your kids are making poor choices, or you're out of work. 
Whatever your situation, God remains the same. He is good. 
There is always something to be thankful for. 
​

Oftentimes our most difficult times in life shape us in just the way we need.
We learn patience. We learn to depend on the Lord. We learn empathy and understanding.  
​

Grow through what you go through

So what will the choice be for you today?
Will you let this verse resonate in your heart and allow gratitude to flow from your words and actions?

Let's Pray

Dear Heavenly Father, 
We thank you for the many blessings you've given us in life.
When our spirit is ungrateful, remind us to humble ourselves and practice gratitude. 
We are thankful that you are so good.
We praise you for your faithful love that endures forever. 
We magnify your holy name! 
You are our rock and our firm foundation. 
As we start off this new week help us to keep our minds and hearts set on you. 

It's in Jesus name we pray, 
Amen

Letter writing is a lost art.
Take out a pen and paper and write a letter someone that has impacted your life in a positive way. 
Thank them for how they have specifically helped you. 
Share the goodness of the Lord with them. 
Mail the letter. No texting!
