Welcome to part four of our five week series: Surrendering our Health. If this is your first time joining us - we're glad you're here! When you have some time take a peek at our previous posts. You'll find prayers for physical, mental and emotional health. Today we will focus on financial wellness. There is so much that could be said on this subject. In fact, many preachers are quoted saying that Jesus spoke about money more than any other topic. So does God care about our money? Yes. Does he need our money? No. He wants our heart! And he knows that where our treasure is there also is where our heart will be. So in that sense he does care about our money and has given plenty of instruction on what we should do with it, but we won't get into all of that. Instead I will simply pose this question - where is your treasure? Is it your house? Your car? Your bank account? Is it your character? Your generosity? Your kindness? What do you value most? What is God convicting you of when you ponder that question? The Bible tells us that we cannot serve money and God. Matthew 6:24 Replace money with whatever your struggle is. We all have something... vanity, possessions, comforts, etc. What it comes down to is do our priorities align with what God says is most important? God wants us to enjoy everything that he has provided, but he wants us to seek his kingdom and righteousness first! Let's Pray Dear Heavenly Father, It is our desire to seek your will for every area of our life. Help us to be good stewards with what you have entrusted us with. We pray that we prioritize what you value above all else. Help us to trust in you for our security - not money, possessions or comforts, oh Lord. Help us to be generous. To help those in need. And please give us the wisdom to make wise financial decisions that are honoring and pleasing to you. We pray for all that are struggling financially, Lord. You are faithful and will provide. We thank you in advance for working in miraculous ways to meet our needs. We thank you for the many blessings you have given us and ask that as we continue to seek your kingdom and righteousness that you will continue to supply our every need. We thank you for giving us instruction in this area and we praise your holy name! In Jesus Name,
Amen
