A Message for the Mourning

​Today's Bible Verse

​"Blessed are those who mourn 
​for they shall be comforted."

Matthew 5:4

Reflection

Just a couple of days ago we commemorated the anniversary of 9/11. 
Twenty years ago our nation was mourning. 
Today we still mourn. 

To be human is to know sadness, suffering, hurt, and heartache.
​

But God

He doesn't leave us there and he doesn't leave us alone. ​
​

To know God is to know safety, security, hope and healing.

Let's PRay

Dear Heavenly Father, 

We are so grateful for your love.
When we are mourning you are stretching out your comforting arms. 
When we are hurting you are lending a listening ear. 
We pray specifically for those whose loved ones were lost or injured by the terrorist attacks of September 11th. 
We pray that we would always remember the brave men and women that fought for us that day and the ones that continue to protect us today. 
Lord, we pray that our nation would turn away from sin and make choices that align with your will. 
Help us to each do so individually. 

It's in Your Precious Name we pray,
